IS the pump blocked? try lowing the outlet hose into a bucket and check whether the water leaves the drum, once empty try seeing if it will spin again, if it works then you need to check the pump for either a blockage or failure.
I would have checked the resistence of the thermister as previously advised with circuit tester first or replaced the thermistor as it is the cheapest part.
If that has not solved the problem then it sounds like you probably may require a new programmer or speedcontrol module as one of these...
IS this the model with the thermistor type fitted rather than the thermostat? if so check the thermistor has not short-circuited, remove it from the machine and press it against a radiator or kettle and check that it's resistence varies with changes in temp.
Is the water auctually pumping out of the machine during the spin cyle?
Try lowing the drain hose to ground level, into a bucket then making sure that the machine is fully empty and restart the long/fast spin cyle without any laundry in the machine. Make sure you keep the outlet hose to...
Went to an electrics shop and bough a new relay, tried it out the relay "clicks" in when the door is closed but the motor does not turn. Looks like I need a new motor, does anyone who repairs tumble dryers have any second hand motors lying around by any chance suitable for a creda compact dryer?
I have an old "compact" 3 style tumble dryer very reliable but the drum stopped turning at the start of a cycle but the heater still heats up and now the motor is preatically dead. I removed the side panel of the machine to reveal the motor and relay but the relay seem to be OK I tested the coil...
I want to remove the timer knob for this machine. Do I just pull the knob free from the timer shaft or is it held in place by a hidden screw somewhere?
I am using it on a single socket but I plug my RCD into it just in case for safety. Did have the washer and freezer going at the same time though, but they were in seperate sockets
Hi everyone,
Bought a secondhand baby belling it is fully working but when I used it to cook a chicken the oven was on for a around 20 minutes when the RCD that I have plugged into it trips and switches off the appliance. I stripped it down fully and cannot find anything wrong with it all the...
