Gable wall - I only have about 30mm of space here. My plan was to tightly fit 27mm XPS or PIR-bonded plasterboard and skim. I've looked at aerogel but it'd be hundreds of pounds for the wall alone. I will be replacing the lintel as part of the work.

Hi Ree, thanks for the reply. I've attached photos of the room, I'll grab some exterior shots later on today. The only reason I'm against the lime coating is I'm not a plasterer. I do plan on getting a plasterer to skim coat, I could ask them to use Wykamol hard impact plaster.
