    Had to fit a similar size shower before, that too would only take 10mm. I needed to get through insulation to get across to bathroom roofspace, so I ran 16mm to the shower pullswitch and then the short distance from pullswitch (i kept battened above insulation) to the shower in 10mm,

    How long is a piece of string? How many circuits will it be serving? In what condition is the existing installation? More info needed really. But for example, I changed a consumer unit the other week, I quoted £360 but on checking the existing installation i found all kinds of issue...

    Ah, miss read the question. Yeah, Holmslaw, if both lights come on, could be a borrowed neutral, Before working on the light, isolate the other lighting circuits to just to be on safe side. Borrowed neutrals can nip your hand a bit if you dont know they are there!!

    Bad connection most probably, Remove the switch and light fitting re check ALL connections, even the ones that you didn't make, they might just want a tighten.

    I personally would always try and steer a customer away from fitting a second electric shower, Even if you can only use one at once, whats the point? you might aswell wait for the first electric shower to come free!! Usually if a family is going out (for a meal etc) they are all getting ready...

    They still should have added RCD protection to the socket outlets they added really, Just contact the company and express your concerns, im sure they will be happy to rectify, Ask them whether you will be recieving a Building regs Certificate in the post anytime soon.

    Sorry £100 just for CU (high integ, 10 way, with mcbs, Dual RCD) definitely excluding Labour you should allow for extras that maybe required (Earth cable, clamps etc etc,)
