No Tony I don't recognise the component, but boiler electronics are not my thing, that is why I asked. I take it that the "spark gap" is behaving normally then? The pilot is lit. Is it the job of the spark gap to light the pilot not the main burner? ChrisR, "I know that's why I suggested...

Do you mean the cct board with the big replaceable relay? I don't know, I suppose so, there is only one cct board isn't there?

ChrisR, testing away from t1 & t3 (the wire) tests 4.3k and into the board tests 155k. I powered up the boiler with the bottom panel off and after the pilot is lit there is a faint clicking sound coming from under the black protective cover on the cct board. When I lifted the cover there is a...

Tony, mine is supplied by a 15mm pipe that ultimatly is teed off a 22mm somewhere, so reduce it to 15mm but no need to increase it back to 22mm unless of course the boiler has a 22mm fitting....

Following the flow chart in the back of the install manual, it says there should be 240v across T1 & T3 on electronic control. I do not have 240v here and it says " suspect control box". Anything inside that I can check - I have a B-Tec in electrical engineering. Thanks

Thanks chrisr, not the answer I was looking for. Anyone with anything more constructive would be appreciated.

Hi. I have an intermittent problem with the above boiler, only it is getting worst. My system is fully pumped y-plan. Pump is ok. When the boiler is switched on, the fan starts up and after a few seconds, the pilot lights. The problem is that the main burner will not light. It doesn't come...

Chrisr, extremely glad to hear that you will be offering no further “advice” on this subject as I do not appreciate being spoken to in that manor. You obviously think you are way above the rest of the people on this forum so maybe you should just call it a day, then you could give...

Masona, I fully understand what you are saying and respect that. Corgiman, I appreciate what you are saying, but respect is mutual, I would not "give out" to chrisr, or anyone else unless I felt that I was being "spoken" to in a manner that wasn't deserved. pixey

chrisr, if you are such an expert why can't you answer a reasonably straight forward question. I fully understand how a fully pumped central heating system works, it is the dual flow/returns that are causing me a problem, as I have written earlier in this thread. Maybe someone with a bit more...

"Look mate, you're getting free impartial advice from a corgi reg heating engineer who is not ripping you off, right now. You obviously don't know enough to do the job yourself if you think its just a question of how you connect the pipes at the boiler. There IS no single way of doing it, it...

Thanks for your advise, but as I am sure you understand, finding a plumber /heating expert that won't rip you off isn't easy. If the boiler had only one flow/return I don't think I would have a problem, but I cannot find any diagrams that show a fully pumped system using a boiler that has more...

Hi all. I wonder can anyone help me? My central heating system is gravity fed hot water with pumped heating. I would like to change this to fully pumped but have a slight problem. The boiler is a Potterton Neteheat and has two "flows" and two "returns". The way it is plumbed in at the moment...
