I had an undetected modern crap, thin walled, copper pipe water leak under laminate leaking for months recently. When I took the laminate up to replace the pipe, the laminate was totally unaffected after being protected by the moisture barrier. The same laminate went straight back down (y) ;)

I won’t be tiling it, it’s either LVT or laminate (y)

Not strong enough for a utility room attached to a garage where there’s going to be all sorts trapped through, but thanks anyway (y)

Yep, that’s one of my thoughts, if there hasn’t been a leak in there since everything was installed four years ago, just put some cheap laminate in and I can easily replace it (y). I don’t want to tile it, I want something warm for my delicate little trotters :giggle:

Hi :), The search function didn't really help, so can the pro's please let me know if I should pva or mist coat a brand new plasterboarded and skimmed ceiling and stud wall before painting properly ?? The reason I ask is I don't want any flaking paint in a year or two's time. Many thanks :)

Correct….a new incoming supply, meter, and “fuse box” moved into the extension garage. Nowt flash, just what I’m hoping is a bog standard installation :unsure:

My house is an old 1948 semi detached ex Council house. When I moved in 23 years ago I completely rewired it myself (I know, very naughty :cry:), adding many double sockets that it lacked both upstairs and downstairs. Both upstairs and downstairs were on what I assume is a bog standard ring...

Having googled it, it is indeed on a radial circuit :). A new one on me, I thought it had to be a ring :giggle:
