How do you light a C&M Corvec Miniflame 11 Boiler please

Tony you are showing your age! but good memory. OP it has a single knob which you need to start at 12 o clock position. Turn to 10 o clock then light pilot ....with a match by the way. Make sure the pilot is large enough to play on the tip of the T/C behind it. If not its very easy to clean...

Boiler Replacement. Which should I choose?

Load of tosh. I have a flue gas analyser and the Vaillant are one of the easiest boilers to adjust and are you suggesting that there is a special commisioning procedure thats NOT in the MI's You try a Worcester or a Baxi or an Ideal  , most of which they tell you shouldnt be touched...

    poor hot water flow

As far as you can see it is! What about under the floors. Main thing to do to improve gravity DHW is to raise the head of water if flow is not good enough. Not to sure on booster pumps. Perhaps someone else can tell you :?: Stan

    Worcester Greenstar 35 CDi

Agile the boiler will have an internal flow restrictor fitted before the flow sensor and its unlikely that Mr professional has removed that! In a bid to help the OP which is the point can I suggest that the boiler is under gassed either because there is a problem with the incomming supply or...

    poor hot water flow

Its either the header tanks that are not high enough or the diameter of the DHW draw off which is undersized. Stan

    Glow Worm Energysaver 40

Or the condensate could be partially blocked More likely the ign electrode has been burnt away which is common on these. Mind you it could be the inner flue rotted aswell :? You may catch my drift. Get it checked by someone who knows all the problems that the energysaver has at age ...

    glowworm compact combi

I had a beauty on one of these the other week. Just the same as you are reporting. It was actually the microswitch similar to Robs suggestion, but no leaks it had just fallen appart inside. Unplug the DHW flowswitch and see if the CH fires then. Stan

Danfoss thermostatic radiator valve. Clunking/Knocking Noise

You dont HAVE to buy new if you dont want to. Just make a note of which pipe gets hot first on each rad then remove the valve and fit it with the direction arrow going the right way. It just means that the orientation of the valve might be vertical as opposed to horizontal. Stan

Combi Boiler Comes On Briefly As Cold Water Is Run

Only if your name is Baxpoti obviously. Any installer worth his salts will make sure to remove them and not find a work around for it! Stan

Converted to combi now poor heating ??

I cannot believe that you have put up with this for a year! and what did it take for him to convince you that "this is how they work" crap. I will tell you now he has got the configuration of the pipes wrong. The combi should have been connected to the central heating flow from the old 3 way...

    worcester 24i rsf

Unless you are good enough to prove its the pump can I suggest that it could be the PCB as I had one several years ago that evey man and his dog had been to which turned out to be that. I guess it was easy for me because I had a meter on the pump supply when it went off. Stan

WB 35CDi (Mk1) expansion vessel replacement

Thank you dave @ gas 4 you!!

Namsag the Orange plug is held in with the same clip which is used to connect the expansion vessel hose. I have to say having fitted mainly Juniors and Si's for the last year this is a slight draw back with these models. However if you have a strict installation process then god knows how...
