Yes, another Baxi Bahama problem needs sorting.!!

You might want to get the syphon trap updated to the later one or better still pull the wire off it as I found a Baxi engineer had done on a job I visited :!: Stan

Help it's freezing !!! - Ignition (Spark) Generator failed??

I would suggest that the main reason for the generator failing so often is that the spark wire has broken down and although the pilot and boiler continue to work fine the generator is continually sparking! The leads become high resistance due to break or more likely rust at the connection on...

    Potterton Netaheat MkIIF 16-22

My apologies too Chris. Again the mind is cloudy these days and the Netaheat badging never stuck that well. I seem to remember the MK1 and the electronic the most. So the MK11F had the white rodgers gas valve is that right? but still had the same ign box. Stan

    Potterton Netaheat MkIIF 16-22

Come on Chris! whats this are you having an off day? The pilot light is on and the fans running meaning that the boiler is still in demand. Plus its an F model which means its got the same sort of running sequence as the Profile. I would look at PCB or check for power to main gas solenoid...

Chaffoteaux Celtic FF. Pressure switch hunting.

On the Chaff Celtic usually fan not running fast enough is a classic that is never found. Possibly venturi partially blocked. Its very rarly the switch itself but everybody always replaces it

Glow-worm Fuelsaver 35 F - pilot light keeps going out!

Vaillant VCW Combi problem and free beer

problem with my Potterton Profile 80e boiler

If you have a white rogers gas valve then I agree as above but if the gas valve is a honeywell with 2 red solenoids I very much doubt it will be that. I would suspect the PCB as mentioned the dry joints are repairable (so ive heard) Stan

    Vaillant VCW-Sine 18 T3WF H High Pressure Problem

Its not. Unfortunatly what nobody has mentioned is that the expansion vessel is probably knackered and the diaphragm perforated. The OP could try it though. Agree with Tony lovely old boiler this. Fit a remote expansion and keep the thing running for another 10 years. It will probably out run...

    Nightmare

My advice would be to actually not pay whoever comes there and then but say that you will test the appliance for a few days and then make payment via post. I enjoy working on combi repairs and if I ever carry out a repair that I am not 100% will sort a problem then I actually will not take a...

Cast Iron Rad Plug Removal (Tips Needed!)

I remember having to get a bush out of a Mexico once or was it an e-type, anyways I used a hacksaw blade and cut out a section of the bush from the inside (yes be careful!) then caved it in using the stillys. Worked a treat and was the only way it was coming out. Stan
