sambotc is correct, on any occasion when the power is interrupted to the boiler it will operate at reduced output for 15 mins to form seal in trap.

Maybe you have a bypass which is open too much??

In that case more likely diaphragm not full diverter. Still a pig to do so as advised above get a pro in!

Assuming the boiler fires when you open the tap, and the flow pipe (leftmost 22mm pipe on boiler) gets pinging hot when hot tap running, then diagnosis likely correct. Your best course of action will be to book a fixed price repair with british gas, cheapest option!!!!

See if you can turn off the cold supply to the combi, then open a hot tap. If you get any water out of the hot tap then the mixer is passing and will need a non return valve fitting on the hot feed to it.

I think with these you can't set off times as such, you can only set on times. So if you want an off period you need to set it "on" but at a low temperature say 5C. Hope this makes sense!

Yes, but you would need to do measurements to confirm whether you have a fault or not.

Could be that the flow rate through the bath hot tap is too much, you need to measure it ( jug and stopwatch) to confirm. Would think that boiler specced to heat 10 litres/min of water by 35C roughly.

Or a frozen cold feed to the F&E tank.....check the small tank can fill with water, ballcock ok and letting water out.

You would need to test the motor actuator on the diverter valve to locate fault, details in the installation instructions. Would not recommend you do so unless familiar with electrical testing, you may be best advised to hire a boiler engineer!

Could be diverter valve problem, turn heating off and wait 10 or 15 mins, then run hot water whilst feeling the heating flow pipe under the boiler (2nd copper pipe from left). If it gets hotter then thats the problem area...

Some manufacturers e.g. Baxi supply a kit to do this, I would check with the manufacturer first if it were me!

Commonly called a tapstat, controls the temperature of your stored hot water. Nothing to do with your radf circuit of course...
