Adding an additional pane of glass to a wooden frame door

Hi everyone, Would like some advice on insulation of the front door. The front door is made out a really nice wooden frame (looks better on the outside): And I really like the look of it, however it's not the warmest. The bottom panels were just basic thin wood ones so I was able to cover them...

It happens with any tap in the house and also the random clunking which I do think is the neighbours. Got a combi boiler, so no atic cisterns.

    Cold mains pipe clunking noise

Well this is odd, last night me and wife were trying to locate where exactly the clunking was coming from and she was turning the tap off and on again for a while and out of nowhere the clunking stopped! However it didn't last long as it has just come back :S what is happening?

Not sure if it's related but a few times I also noticed that the boiler switched on briefly when cold tap was turned off.

    Cold mains pipe clunking noise

It's definitely the mains as that's the pipe that appears to be the one creating the noise. No sure if this is something that I have done. Sadly not easy to get to.

    Cold mains pipe clunking noise

I don't think it was funny open but possibly more than I have now. I've closed off the main tap as much as I can, anything more makes the pressure to weak to be used properly. I also don't get why it's clunking when water is not used

Running a dual socket from single FCU?

Thanks ericmark. CU already has a RCD (I updated the picture to reflect that). So just add the double socket and not worry about the FCU?

Running a dual socket from single FCU?

Hi all, I got a cable running into an airing cupboard in which I want to install a network switch and AC/DC adapter for a camera. The cable 2.5mm runs direct from consumer unit which is wired to a 16A fuse in the CU. Currently cable just terminates into a switch that I assume was used to power...

Extending ring main right after consumer unit

Thank you everyone for your responses, really useful tips and information. I think I'll go with the removing one of the ends from consumer unit and taking it to the socket and then returning the other end from the other socket to the unit after. This way no cutting out junction boxes would be...

Extending ring main right after consumer unit

Hi all, Trying to add two new sockets and having hard time deciding from where to extend the ring main. There is a socket to the right but I can't quite find where it goes and there is no real way to check without ripping into the wall and there is nothing underneath so it means it runs up...

    Boiler dropping pressure

Hello all, Just moved into a new house and was met with a nasty surprise. The boiler (Ferroli DOMICOMPACT F30D or F24D) is losing pressure within a span of 4 hours or so. It goes from 2.0bar down to 0.8 - 1.0 bar. The boiler itself appears to be working fine and heats the house up withouth a...
