so how many manifolds needed for 4 new rads? just one?
and can I run it with normal pipe instead of microbore?
Also if I can T off before all the other pipes wouldn't this possibly lose pressure in the exisitng rads?
Cheers
Hi
so the manifold is at the end of the 22mm pipe, that makes it a bit easier to find just not sure which direction as runs from right to left all the way across top of house, but pipes from downstairs seem to run up walls too, so follow them?
So is the rule one pipe per radiator off the...
have you got any tips on finding the manifold?
I got a metal detector but will pick up anything.
I know it must be upstairs as solid floors downstairs, should the pipe work lead in a certain way?
all roads lead to the interchange???
What does a manifold looklike, or how big???
Thanks
Thanks Bob, yeah the pipework is well shoddy throughout the whole house, looks like they didn't measure where the rads would be and took pot luck!
Anyhow with regard to the manifold, you mean if there is only 1 x manifold I could T it off and run 15mm pipe straight off into the new extension...
Im building an extension soon, and just wondering what this situation is with part P ?
I have a relative who is an electrician but not part P, what is the best way round this rather than use someone who is going to charge the earth?
I have a Potterton Suprima boiler which is about 1 year old, all ok there, but I also have a microbore system where the pipes go in one end of the rad, see picture...
My issue is how do I connect onto a system like this to add another 4 radiators when I extend my house in a few months...
