quotes for changing taps and bath panel

Without telling us the make of the taps you are wasting your time. It would be the same if I said is £50 a good price for a watch......It depends on the make of the watch, Rolex or Argos. Give the guys on here something to work with. ****s sake.

quotes for changing taps and bath panel

Jesus! it's like pulling teeth. £150 is excessive for a set of cheap and nasty taps, but it's "normal" for quality taps.

Baxi Bermuda 551 - Pilot light turning off

He's probably cheap because she said he is just starting out self employed. I don't think £50 for an hours work is that bad. If he is starting out he may be looking for any work possible.

Mystery central heating pressure issue - advice please!

It's not a danger to use it, but it won't do it any good. You should be ok to use it for hot water but if you do use the heating then run it at a lower temperature, that should reduce the amount of expansion. I would only do this if you really need it until you get the engineer back.

Am I being conned by British Gas?

So you haven't decided wether to sell or not, or are you having any intention to sell or just looking for other problems. Taking into consideration that you have a 23 year old back boiler if you don't sell soon you will be replacing the boiler anyway. And most people who move in will rip it out.
