    Does either the programmer or the thermostat need batteries. If not then check the connections in the isolator in case you have a loose wire on the cable supplying the boiler as a first step. But isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before you start.

    Why not masonary paint. Once appliedd to render and dried it can be pressure washed ok. It doesn't seem as though it is going to get much traffic there.

    Yes mix it up with water and tryit, but might need a few coats to get the colour depth.

    So have you only noticed that with the filters out or is it the same when they are in. It could be just that a vortex is being created and circulating in the fan casing.

    I always thought that load bearing stud walls had diagonall reinforcement. If it is a load bearing wall I would have expected the ceiling to finish at the wall and not run much into it past the finished surface.

    Not a plumber but I would say no you are not measuring correctly. It should be from bottom of outlet to bottom of bend. I don't think products that didn't meet building regs. would be sold.
