    Which TV aerial goes where?

A nice story, but mostly an urban myth, I'm afraid. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=fact-or-fiction-nasa-spen

    HD connections

Surely the DVD recorder won't have an HD input of any kind, as DVD isn't an HD format. Its HDMI output may well upscale to HD (many SD devices with HDMI outputs do this), but I doubt it's got an HD input.

Miniature 3-pin 230V inline connector suggestions

Canford are still selling the female cable and male panel versions, until the stock runs out: http://www.canford.co.uk/NEUTRIK-XLR-TYPE-AC-MAINS-POWER-CONNECTORS The new True1 Powercons are definitely designed with breaking capacity, unlike the previous versions.

Typically, the tech specs on Deltron's website differ from the tech specs for the same product on Farnell's website! Yes, the tech sheet from Farnell says 250V (http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/60411.pdf) but the tech sheet from Deltron says 50V...

Miniature 3-pin 230V inline connector suggestions

Interesting. All the XLRs by the usual manufacturers I've seen (Neutrik, Switchcraft, Deltron, Amphenol) are rated at 50V ac, although the rated current does vary from brand to brand. The old Canon, and later Neutrik, XLR LNE connectors are rated at 250V, and the remaining stock seems to be...

MeJames: it strikes me that you don't really seem to know how a fuse works, looking at some of your ramblings above. I'd give up now, as you're not really making much sense.

Here's an idea: Take your box along to somewhere like Maplins, and ask them to sell you a power supply that matches the voltage & power rating that you need. You can then check, in the shop, that the DC barrel on your prospective power supply properly fits into the DC inlet on the back of...

Yes, I agree with this point. MeJames: you really would be better off getting a power supply that didn't need to be used with a ropey travel adapter to make it work in UK sockets. The back of the Aios box says the power input should be 12V dc 3A, so you need to find a UK socket compatible...

Nonetheless, they are the people who make it. Aios is the model name, not the brand. Don't always believe how Amazon list things.

Class I or Class II ?

As I've mentioned before, I expect the definition of 'reinforced insulation' in the standard is probably less hardcore than we would like to think.
