faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

just to make sure that I get this right. The valve pin does move. but I feel I have to use reasonable force in order to turn the pin. does this mean "move freely"? With actuator put in place, the actuator lever can return to W position by itself from H position.

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

ok. it can turn lockwise a little and can turn to anti-clockwise a little bit.

the pin only moves in small angle / degree. it does not turn a circle. is this correct?

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

I have put it back on now since I do not have a new actuator at the moment. I only bought a replacement motor today. I should certainly follow your advice when I get a new actuator. I am glad that I've learnt so much from you. Thank you.

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

I can see the lever go under the plastic case, but I do not see any clips. do you think if I have older version valve? the black lever clip at back of actuator casing looks like this:

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

yes, at the right side there is a plastic lever, extending into the back of the actuator. The W/M/H lever is at the bottom. Sorry. I am not sure which 'top' I can pull? I have already taken the cover off (undone one screw). do you think if my actuator is older version?

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

thank you for getting back to me. yes, you did say that it could be pcb faulty. Perhaps I should get a new actuator. How easy to replace actuator?

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

I still need some help please. today I have managed to buy a new motor and have replaced the existing one. seems to have the same problem that it does not respond to heating call. does this mean that there is something else wrong my actuator? when the power is off, the lever returns to...

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

thank you very much. you are a star. yep. if I can not find a motor, perhaps will buy a new actuator and use its motor to replace mine. the power lead to motor needs a special rectangular plug.

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

I have removed motor. but how can I put power to it to test if it is working. where do you think I can get a motor to replace it if mine is knackered.

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

I have unscrewed two screws. can I just pull the motor out? is the casing part of the motor? The motor fitting seems quite tight.

faulty mid position actuator or blown fuse?

that's good. thank you for guiding me through it. what should I look for to know the motor is ok or knackered?
