    OK, lets play a game... You have to find a JB under the floorboards, 1st floor socket circuit.... I have to find a socket behind the fridge..... And as to Part P, I'm all in favour of it...

    There is a section within the wiring regulations covering generators / additional sources, and to comply with Part P the wiring regulations must be followed.... Dont know how this works for boats though....

    Simon, spoke to the senior regional NICEIC engineer today, also agrees that JB's under floorboards are considered as inaccessible and do not comply with BS:7671.

    bad job done by a pro!!

    Had a few dealings with kitchen fitters earlier in the year......funny enough same thing.....spoke to people, they spoke to me etc.....could only put it down to bad design (1st part of the regs), apparently "what ifs" dont count for much. Everyones kitchen is a different size so more than likely...

    Thing with MK is they make decent accessories, but when it comes to boards...well nevermind... Just to list a few: MEM (Personal Favourite) Crabtree (pretty decent) Hagar (aint really used) Protec (keep away) Proteus (keep away) Square D (aint really used) Contactum (not too bad)...

    If your anything like me, and dont like points on show, you could also install a socket outlet mounted high level above your units and plugged the hood in (same goes for FCU)....or from the lighting circuit.... Just a few other options thrown at ya'.......
