Hi,Can you answer a few question for me please

Exactly my point. Before retiring spent many years repairing boilers and have seen this scenario so many times. It seems some 'installers' love to install the largest combi boiler with no regards to what is suitable for the customers water supply. Seen exactly same with unvented cylinders...

Hi,Can you answer a few question for me please

Maybe so but what flow rate are you actually getting? True but getting a larger boiler with the intention to feed numerous taps is wasted if the mains supply is insufficient.

Gable wall is a sound generator for boiler!

Not necessarily, if the vibration is being generated within either the pipes or the boiler then it could travel along the pipes in either mode. Have you tried going into the loft with the boiler running and trying to locate where the noise is loudest? A set of those engine noise finding type...

    Anti Vibration fixings

You have effectivly produced a 'sound board' so any noise generated by the pump is distributed through the joists. Shower pumps always appear quieter if mounted on a large concrete paving slab with a rubber layer under pump ans also where the slab sits on the structure of the building. So...

Moving Master socket, doubling up for a day or so

Why not just do all the required work but not make any final connection to junction box unconnected? Then on 'switch-over' day all you need do is move equipment and swap over connections into junction box. Thus minimal downtime and no risk to adsl speeds.

Wiring a patch panel - ethernet cabling

If you are using a Krone style tool then that could well be the problem. Patch panels normally need a '110' punch down tool. The actual wires in photo 3 are way too long and the bottom row the wrong way. Cat5 and Cat6 cables are twisted pairs and the twists should continue to as close to the...

Pressure testing, drops from 6 to 5.8 bar...

To use air rather than water is dangerous!! Water is virtually in-compressible so if a fitting fails you will end up with a pool of water. Air is highly compressible and therefore stores a large amount of energy. A fitting failing at 3bar can be likened to a shot gun being fired it will...
