Thanks Moz, can't run to underfloor heating as we are on a tight budget! Just wondering if putting down 10mm of insulation underneath the tiles will be of any benefit, since the concrete floor has no insulation in the construction (it was put down years ago)

We are renovating a late 1940's ex army house with solid floors throughout. We are tiling the kitchen floor but it's very cold, we're thinking of putting down some 10mm "ekoboard" which is basically extruded polystyrene in board form. Has anybody used this? Would it be OK to glue the ekoboard...
