how do you guys normally work your own quotes out? i tend to make a list of everything i can think of, give the list to my local stockists they get me a price. i add vat + labour then let customer know, usually only wait for me is the lad in stockist getting back to me with a price :wink:

ive just priced a job new combi optimax 31he for a bbu, swap 6-7 rads to new + rad valves, also add an extra rad on the system all for 3k i must move to london and get a dick turpin mask :lol:

also check the pipe between the pump and the expansion vessel a little bit of crap in there can make it look like theres a problem with the expansion vessel

any ideas here guys boiler totally dead and blowing 3 amp fuses; tested internal fuses all got continuity, checked fan and pump seemed ok for resistance and chb still blowing 3 amp fuses with these disconnected. isolated external controls still doing the same vaillant fault finding...

im assuming its the turbo max with the green switches 47-044-25 if me memory serves me right, these have a pump proving switch on top/behind the pump which lifts as the pump runs pushing water through a small copper tube (PPO pipe) to lift a diaphragm to make a microswitch
