Hello, Removed the door on my b1422 oven to clean it. When I went to put it back the hinge catch snapped open while I was closing the door. I pulled it out of the guides, but the catch has locked the hinge open. How can I get it to go back in? If I place it in the guide and pull the door...

    Short Flush

If its torbeck, then there might be a blue ball or similar, adjust this along the rod its on to give a greater flush. Be careful as its possible to knock off the lever mechanism which it is connected to. Easy to get back on, but you might have to remove the whole unit, in which case you'll...

    strange combi problem

just happened to be on screwfix at the time! Still don't get the dead leg thing as all the old hot water pipes are capped and seperate from the new pipes. Perhaps its something else a bit dodgy, once, turning on the washing machine cured the problem.

    strange combi problem

I can see no way flow or return, how they could be connected. They all run down from the loft at the same point and are capped midway. I understand this against water regs? Cheers for reply.

    strange combi problem

impossible, the pipes run under the floor from new boiler. The dead legs have no way of affecting the system as it is now.

oh dear, looks like we've been slightly conned into getting a cheaper boiler. All in all its still a vaillant, so its probably better than a b&q boiler no? Its nearly 2 years old now, and the only problem I've had is the noise issue with the aqua sensor

Hi peeps, Back again with another problem with this boiler. Some of you may be aware of the sealant problems with the h/e. It was swapped out for a graphite one. The boiler now seems to rattle! It sounds like there is something trapped inside. I can't see how this is possible! The...

Ecotec plus 837 gas inlet 22mm

I have 22mm to my vaillant ecotec pro and my hob dips! :( 15mm to the hob, which come off the same inlet pipe on a T I rang vaillant tech office who said 15mm will be fine, but every quote I had said I'd need to convert to 22mm. I'm no expert but I'm sure it says in my install manual a...
