    I just want to say its not as easy as it looks and you really should consider paying someone to lay them. ive seen the bricky thing on tv, they look slow to use and im not convinced its as easy as they make it look either, never used one though, but why would I when I am a brickie lol

    oh dear what a mess that looks I agree it looks like you have a brick arch under the render, if so then you wont need to do anything to the top, just cut out the bottom. I would be tempted to take the render off though to make sure and because it looks awfull

    it happens a lot, when it was built the original wooden windows could take the weight but as they have been replaced by plastic the bricks have dropped a bit, its not a big job it just needs a lintel putting in.

    with subsidence you would expect cracks on the outside as well as the inside. but if the repairs to the inside wall are such a bodge id be worried they might have bodged the underpinning as well.

    what a cheek, unless he has something official in writing then he had no right to touch any shared walls, I would tell him your going to open it up and begin using it again and if the party wall is missing you will be putting it back up and consider himself lucky your not billing him for it.

    if the air brick was blocked solid then nothing was getting washed into it, the air brick is to stop the under the floor from getting damp and rotting your joists, so the fact it was blocked is probably why its damp
