    Margaret Thatcher's legacy

Norcon I admire your foresight and prudence, just wish the rest of us could have been as structured as you, because we haven't :(

The best feeling in the world.

Most of you have hit the nail on the head, with your experiences of children pulling through an illness. And I forgot about my own son, who is now 20, having acute epiglottitis when he was about 3. In intensive care for a week, but survived. Apologies for my absent mindedness

    Margaret Thatcher's legacy

There was no way this country could have sustained what unions were trying to achieve, i.e. vastly inflated pay rises, which obviously would have included them too, shorter working hours, which would have meant employing twice as many people to do that job, and survive as a viable prospect...

    Margaret Thatcher's legacy

It's also each successive governments desire to head the country into being a services industry, and not bothering to invest heavily into the manufacturing side, as it seemed we could purchase goods from abroad far cheaper than we could make ourselves, and although once among the worlds finest...

I've had lots of moments to be proud of, but as for the best feeling in the world, not sure. Don't know if I've had one of those :(

    yeah, things have been good..

Quite possibly. I think that, because we are supposed to be living in a world where freedom of speech is demanded, people think that they can say what they like without reproach.

    yeah, things have been good..

I would have thought that the only reason someone gets their posts deleted is through being personally insulting, abusive or obscene. If that is the case, and they can't see that they've typed anything like this, maybe there is no room on a forum like this, for them.

    Margaret Thatcher's legacy

If half of those businesses hadn't been privatised, I fear that instead of being owned by foreign companies, they would have been run into the ground, with ever stronger unions not bowing to change, not being competitive, and letting companies wind up instead of taking prudent choices to survive.

To Megaflo or not to Megaflo!

You would need to buy the correct measuring equipment to do this, or call a local plumber who may have these to inform you :) http://www.inspectapedia.com/water/Water_Pressure_Measure.htm Have a read of this if you like, it may enlighten you a bit more.

    Sport

This posting went waaaaay off topic !! I still play football, same team for 26 seasons, my son plays in the same side too, fulfilling a wish of mine. Play racketball ('squash for girls' apparently, but I enjoy it), go to the gym on occasion, when not recovering from some niggling...

Fixed Shower Screen For Over Bath Shower

The reason the shower screens swivel is for bath usage and cleaning purposes. You can fix the screen with a run of silicone along the bottom, if you wish :)
