    Hep2O underground

Can you not chop this bend out, so you can continue to run your 25mm MDPE pipe into the house with a smoother bend ? If so, then do it, then you can fit one of these...

fitting a stuart turner 3.0 positive head single monsoon

These pumps rely upon a certain flow rate to trigger the flow sensor ( the black plastic box strapped to the connector with the arrow on it ). If this isn't picked up, the pump will not operate. I'm assuming that there is sufficient head of pressure, and that your tap dynamic pressure was at...

    Oil boiler cutting out

Could be numerous things. Was it playing up before the service ? What make and model of burner is it? Get the engineer to return if it was operating fine before. Solenoids can be temperamental, as can pumps, etc.

Extra curricular spending of government provided funds on drinking and such seems to be rite of passage for most university students, my very intelligent niece being one of them :x

Stupid effing tap flooded the bathroom

If anything this post could be a warning about buying this style of tap, and others, which are essentially form over function. It's a shame because as Nigef said, it is a nice looking tap

Dishwasher & washing machine on same drain hose possible

Not wishing to sound pedantic, but if you aren't a plumber or have any DIY skills, then I'd advise you to get someone to do it that has, as even a 'simple' job such as this can have pitfalls in the future if you don't do it correctly. As was mentioned the reason the flexible hoses need to be...

    soil pipe fitting.

What you have got is a vent cowl, which just prevents objects from entering the soil pipe. If you fitted the bathroom, then you need to check all internal pipework. If you contracted someone to fit it, get them back. :)

    noisy plumbing

Are these taps / toilets fed from the loft cistern, or on the mains? It could be the float valve washer vibrating, water hammer, due to pipework that may need more clips to secure it. Could also need a washer replacing, a new inlet float arm, etc.

one of the not so good days

My thoughts are with you, KG. My stepdad died at the age of 36 in '85, fit as a fiddle one minute, then gone. Dad died aged 55 in 1994, not so fit, and about 3000 miles away. Never a nice subject, but the memories are still fresh.

A life sentence that actually means life.

Ok MM, so in your world, this person should have millions of taxpayers money, your money if you are employed, spent on sessions with a psychiatrist in some hospital, in an effort to understand why they committed this act, and then try to cure them ? Can't see how this would help anyone.
