    Aerial Advice

With all due respect to Lucid, I wouldn't use a V10-36L. You really need a Group A log-periodic such as the V11-20A2 or V11-20AF. http://www.satcure.co.uk/accs/log-periodic_aerials.htm It has almost as much gain as the 36L but is shorter and eminently suitable for Caradon Hill Group A transmitter.

I haven't heard of a "TV eye box" and I can't quite follow your statement.

    panasonic tv

An external sound bar with its own remote control. Just the first one I came across: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Goodmans-GDSB02BT20-Speaker-Theatre-System/dp/B00DY4KO7I/

    panasonic tv

Back in the days when Thorn EMi were manufacturing TVs in the UK, dropping them was a standard Q.A. test!

    panasonic tv

I've had a case where the volume button was "leaky" and caused this symptom. So it IS worth disconnecting it as a test. However, the fault might be in, or around, the volume control I.C. and that's trickier. BTW with any TV fault it's worth searching for the model number and a brief description...

You tried both suggestions? In that case, send the powermid kit back for a refund.

    Distribute Sky

Take a piece of black bin-liner bag and cover the front panel of the Sky box. This sometimes works. If it does, then locate the sensor behind the front panel and use just enough plastic film to cover that. If that fails, try another test: place the Powermid in front of the Sky box and cover...

Have you set the aerials horizontal? Is the ceiling clad with plasterboard with foil backing? Did you buy the Powermid extension "eye" that sticks to the Sky Digibox front panel?

Aaron and others, you should read all of this page for a better understanding of boosters: http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/amps.htm

Connecting an existing but disconnected Arial up?

Fifteen years ago I was charging £35 an hour in the NorthWest. (And London rates are higher - for any cockinese reading this.) For an aerial installation I'd expect to pay at least £35 per hour or part thereof, plus retail price of parts (not trade) plus £50 working at height surcharge, plus...

    Satellite Sockets - Any good?

As above. If you buy the wrong ones they can cause serious problems - I'm referring to the American UHF TV sockets that are imported and laughingly sold as "satellite" sockets because they happen to have the same threaded 'F' connectors. Here's an example...

    Distribute Sky

Reaper thing? The Grim Reaper? :cautious: Maybe a Powermid? http://www.satcure.co.uk/accs/page3.htm#wireless Of course so many devices use wireless nowadays that it's not the most reliable method. Very prone to interference and easily blocked by walls and ceilings.

    Distribute Sky

Yes but, if you also want to distribute Freeview, you'll have to connect the TV aerial to the IO-Link aerial input.

    Distribute Sky

You haven't stated the make & model number but my understanding is that you have a simple masthead amplifier. That would not come under the title of either "Loft Box" or "Distribution Amplifier". What I'm suggesting is a true "Loft Box", which will distribute both Freeview and Sky RF signals. It...

Aerial Installation - Sleeve Anchor Bolts Vs Through Bolts

Correct. The 1:5 ratio is confirmed in the Kindle book that I linked to, above. Also you should fit end caps to the pole - unless you enjoy howling noises each time the wind blows.
