    skirting board

That sort of thing would no doubt do the job, but it only cuts to 115mm, so depending on how big the skirting is...... Also be careful when setting up the angle against the angle fix as it is possible to move its angle.

    Need Help With Project

Hope this explains what i tried to say, just make sure the faces to be glued are smooth, put a line of glue down one, and slide the two together to get a bit of suction then line it up and clamp/screw the two together. no need to cut anything fancy as the glue/screws will hold and the shelf...

M/T joints in 1 1/4 sqr PAR, is no problem. You'e right CLS is not 'joinery grade' but to be fair, neither is chipboard or OSB :) however, from a cookoo's point of view it is strong, and could be planned down and finished nicely. and at no point did i say 'you should', 'thats...

 A bit harsh! There are nicer ways to put it! Athough i must admit, he has a point! Double check the weight, or consider using something bigger. I quite often use lengths of 3X2 CLS, and plane it down and square it off, only 59p p/m. Although sometimes they can be a bit ropy.

thats probably how i would join the top to the stiles, same joint you've got but turned 90 degrees -IMO, better at holding the weight. Feet could be as high as you want, but the higher you make them the more 'top heavy' it would likely become. just depends on what you like the look of! - the...
