Netgear router keeps changing LAN IPs

Yes you could get any ip, but the point I was trying to make was that you'd normally see reservations for servers and printers only in a corporate environment, thus the focus on spoofing to get a static ip outside of the dhcp range would be a target. I've yet to see a corporate infrastructure...

Netgear router keeps changing LAN IPs

Umm exams not courses ;) The DHCP range is 100 to 150 in this case, so the reservations are outside the dhcp pool but I'll concede on this bizzare option for a dhcp service to supply a fixed ip outside of the dhcp range. It still begs the question as to why you would adopt your excerpt...

Netgear router keeps changing LAN IPs

CCNA, CCNP. The client is not getting its ip from dhcp then is it? AD might be statically assigning an IP based on the clients ip address but in this case AD is interfering in the DHCP role. I wouldnt even know why you would want AD to gather dhcp leases and then statically assign them as...

Netgear router keeps changing LAN IPs

No it can't. It can have an extremely long lease time but you can't derive a static ip from dhcp, the clue is in the word "Dynamic Host" (unless of course you had a lease pool of 1 ip address which would defy the point of dhcp). Either that or my Cisco exams have been missing something.

Netgear router keeps changing LAN IPs

So on each machine you have disable dhcp in network settings and given the machine a static ip address (which is outside the dhcp range specified on the router) ? It's important that you change from dhcp to static ip on each machine no matter what you configure your router for otherwise the...

OSO 20D unvented cylinder, recharge air gap

Hello, I have an OSO 20D unvented cylinder and it allows cold water to drip through the tundish. I had a plumber around who recharged the air gap, however I noticed that when he turned off the mains cold and opened a hot tap that only a small amount of water (maybe 3-5 seconds) came out...

Having read the thread in question which I assume was http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=248344&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 then BAS response, whilst more lengthy just re-iterated what the other experienced electricians had to say. A number of them advised you involving a...

there are also stupid people who ask sensible questions and sensible people who ask stupid questions. Does this forum you moderate contain people asking questions and people offering advice that have life threatening consequences? I also moderate several forums, upwards of 250,000+ users...

Beko WMA 10W washing machine, loose program dial

If you look at the spindle the dial pushes onto then you'll probably find it has a semi circular design, look at the inside of the dial and you should see the same pattern, inside the dial part there will probably be a piece of metal that fits into the straight edge of the semi-circular design...
