Who do I believe in Labour in Scotland?

I've dragged it up again as we've had another example of it. And feelings doesnt make it any more correct to mix up the UK and Britain. Why cut out Unionists in NI? It's increasingly clear that UKIP are not a UK party. They are an English party . And if Your main policy is that you want...

Perhaps,or maybe they don't like being ruled by half- German families , like the Windsors and the Farages

Who do I believe in Labour in Scotland?

As I said, this conflation of British and English was necessary to make the Union work. UKIP mix up Britain and The UK . A mere detail to some, but to others one that sheds light on their mindset.

    Bit of flavour. http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/ukip-vow-to-cut-8-billion-of-scotland-s-funding-1-3704679

    Would PR help UKIP

Pretty comprehensive I'd say, Ken. Scotland isn't bothered about UKIP and UKIP don't bother much with Scotland.

So for you , it's either let them all in or blow them out of the water.

:D Far less diving and fewer theatrics in the female game, but a fair bit of thuggery too.

They were all in the same boat

In the context of this thread, though, regretting loss of life does not automatically equate to advocating an open door policy. The shame is that some people (not yourself) can only see a lot of issues as having polar opposites for 'solutions'. There's a whole middle ground to be explored...

Why are we wasting resources on this?

I'd say that is the case.

    Assault

Agreed - in boxing, getting hit on the head is to be expected. A rabbit punch less so, or below the belt. Headbutting and spitting (revulsion not harm) are beyond the pale in football. In Rugby Union. gouging and stamping on heads or a cheap shot with the knee. In cricket, calling...

    Would PR help UKIP

Single most discussed in the UK or in England though? I think that is the point , perhaps this issue is not the hot topic in Antrim , Dumfries and Betws - Y - Coed that is in Barking.

    Assault

Also office work isn't generally signed up to as a contact sport, so I don't know how the two are compared in this context. In sports there is a general self policing consensus over where the line is drawn. To stretch it, do we prosecute a boxer for killing someone with a blow to the head...

    Would PR help UKIP

Quite so - and also being mainly defined by one plank of policy doesn't help, as regardless of breadth of manifesto they are seen by many as a single issue party ie a party that wants out of the EU because they don't like foreigners

    Would PR help UKIP

Probably the simplest answer is not that they are disliked, but merely irrelevant to most of the electorate.

    Would PR help UKIP

As I said before, this was necessary to make the Union work. The ideas of England/Britain/UK were conflated, then when the other parts got devolution, the English identity was damaged. Some idiots hijacked it for extremism, and more idiots mistook a normal pride in being English for being an...

They were all in the same boat

I'm not sure how your 'but' is relevant to the quote from me? My contribution to this thread is making clear the distaste I feel at those who are celebrating loss of life; and a reminder of the steps society historically take to get to that stage, where we regard a person as 'untermensch' .

They were all in the same boat

Going from what you have just written to 'Looking on the bright side - a boat from north Africa carrying 400 went down in The Med with all on board visiting Davey Jones' locker. Result!!' is just making my point for me. You can't really 'spin' such gloating over deaths like that, in...
