    Intermittent Central Heating Demand...

You need to work out from the wiring centre what is happening. For CH only you will have to have 230VAC on the grey and orange wires from/to the 3PV. CH plus HW doesn't operate the valve in the same way. In all probability you have a duff programmer or a wiring problem, so all the bits you...

    Intermittent Central Heating Demand...

So what is the boiler doing when there is a demand for heating and no heat? is the fan running at least? your diagnostic methodology seems a little haphazard - so far you haven't identified the area of the problem, just the overall symptom

SDS arbour sheered off - trouble finding replacement

Coring through a wall yesterday my short arbour sheered off. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Also, does anyone know how I can get the remains of the arbour out of the SDS chuck or is the drill junk now? Ta

    Moving a boiler

Depends on:- (a) what you have in the way on approved controls (b) whether you have gravity HW and pumped CH from the netaheat (c) if you'll cough uo for a power flush (d) proximity to household waste system I'd bank on £1500 - £1950

    Flushg System

By overflow, I take it you mean safety discharge. The main reason is that it won't ever shut down again properly and you will constantly lose pressure from your system whilst your blood pressure rises at a corresponding rate.

    Moving a boiler

I would be rather suprised if people were queueing up to move your netaheat, mostly they are moved from the wall to the tip! Personally I have only ever removed them (which is a struggle anyway). As yours appears to be currently flueing sideways, in your proposed position you would need to...

    should be simple!!!

If the pipework to your radiators are hot, but the rads are not then the likely causes of the problem are:- One or more valves shut Rads full of air and need bleeding Rads full of sludge and need flushing But if you want the job done properly, Dave from Hinkley is your man :)

do i need a new pump - still absolutely freezing- help

You really need to mention a bit more about your system. The things that are important are whether you have a gravity HW system and pumped heating. You can readily tell this by identifying a motorised 3-port valve somewhere near the pump, or alternatively two 2-port valves, but both must be...

do i need a new pump - still absolutely freezing- help

Dunno the history of your problems, but considering you say "still freezing" this must be ongoing. The 5p size thing is what you should undo, it's never made a pump work though. You can always try turning the now exposed impellor to see if you can get it to turn, however, in a fully pumped...

    Weeping strap on boss

I did a system to combi conversion last week, putting a Baxi HE133 up in a loft. The soil stack is in the most inaccesible place imaginable, needing several minutes and extreme care just to get to it without falling into the bathroom below. Anyway the boss is weeping slightly and there is...

Can i let the gas pipes be run under kitchen cabinets ?

Two things spring to mind. Either he wants to do the job all at once, not in two visits which would presumably make the job less/not profitable. Or He has no intention of coming back at all and probably won't bother to answer the phone when you call. Only time will tell ... :)
