    Unvented safety pipe to Hepvo

Anyone used this? evidently Hepworth are now claiming it's all legal. I thought some individual BCO's were OK'ing it but not all. How does it work anyway. Saying I'm coming off the tundish in 22mm, how does this connect to 32 or 40mm? One more thing, how is it pronounced? hep vee oh?

Drying out Flow and return pipes.

How do you make the seal around the open pipe? I've just bought a little wet 'n' dry dewalt and was wondering how you would do this - use a rag etc?

    Condensing 3 month leeway

I've got a couple of combi conversions coming up and TBH I would rather fit non condensing boilers as the condensate run will be a bit awkward, but not impossible. Hypothetically, how many people would use the "work in progress" or "ordered before April" excuse/reason on occasions such as these?

    flue termination for condensing boilers!!

An easy option is to flue horizontally and then fit a vertical flue termination kit. Take it above the eaves if you want. Much easier than going through the tiles.

    UNSAFE APPLIANCE

Let me see if I have understood this properly; A landlord asks you to service a back boiler. Because it needs servicing, you consider reporting him to the HSE on the grounds that it needs a service. Makes a lot of sense to me.

    gas engineer in 8 weeks!

Not a gas issue but almost certainly a manufactuers issue. It takes 7 grams of magnetite to block a plate heat exchanger (evidentally), so no PF, possibly no scale inhibitor - your gonna have problems! £400-500 for the job done right seems OK.

    gas engineer in 8 weeks!

OK, give us some examples of minor tasks and I will (at least) give some realistic prices .... Oops, edited this in later. Better still list the jobs and your prices and we'll decide if they are reasonable .... waiting, wating

    gas engineer in 8 weeks!

I didn't think there was a shortage either. I also don't believe that too many six figure salaried commodoties brokers have left the stress of the city for a relaxing life unblocking bogs in ex council estates. Not everything in the Daily Mail is necessarily true I've discovered. :D

worcester 240 combi keep losing pressure please help

Your pressure relief valve is letting by (leaking) and needs to be replaced. Simple job but not that cheap. You could try pressurising and operating the PRV manually a few times to see if the valve seat cleans itself but personally I wouldn't hold my breath.

    Gloworm Combi Pressure

Take a look in all the reasonable places. The obvious place is right under the combi, another place is under the kitchen sink, in fact anywhere where there is mains pressure water. It really can't be that difficult except if the installer abided by the letter of the law and removed the filling...
