    Replacing Bath Mixer Tap Unit

Shouldn't be a problem. I try not to use silicon on taps if I can help it. Now would be a good time to fit isolator valves if not fitted. If fitting tails make sure the pipe your connecting to is nice and square/no sharpe edges. Hope this helps rob

    "White" noise from central hetong

You may want to check the feed/expansion tank in the loft as the float valve may have become stuck? Or they may be sludge in the bottom of the tank, not allowing water to refill the centeral heating system. Hope this helps Rob

    push button toilet flush

If you drain the cistern below the level of the seal, and get some food colouring and see if water is still passing into the toilet. If it does you will know its not the drop seal and it will be the seal at the bottom of the cistern. If so carefully turn the unit clockwise a touch which...

One cold radiator - tried everything!!

I would drain the system down and leaving the drain valve open with a hose attached. Attach a hose pipe to the blocked pipe work and try using the main pressure to try and clear the blockage.

    Drain down sealed system

If your rad is in the ground flow you will need to drain down the whole system. You can flush each rad individual by closing all the valves to the others, and leave the valves open on the one you want to flush, and turn the water supply and top up to 1 bar. Bleed the rad you want to...

Any top tips on flushing the system

I would go with your first idea, but running the system first to warm up wont hurt. Make sure you open all the lockshield valves and Trv's if fitted to fully open to help get the muck out. Hope this helps Rob When you open the lockshield valve write down on a bit of paper, how many...
