I need to fix a hand rail to a strangly narrow newel post. it's not a 'burbidge' so have no fixing brackets - can't notch it in as it's (the handrail) nearly as as wide as the newel.WhadoIdo? Cut a tenon on the end of the handrail and notch that in?

Is is possible to fit flush ceiling lights to a concrete ceiling? I guess the flex is channeled into the ceiling (or is there an easier way?) How about the light fittings themselves?
