    Copper cylinder scrap value?

It's brass fittings on copper that drop the price to braziery. All other copper pipe, whether soldered, painted etc etc is classed as heavy/clean. We stockpile ours and wait for good prices. Generally 2 or 3 ton a time.

    Flue venting over boundary

If it's that close to the boundary, how about the footings? They project further than the brickwork.

Unvented cylinder not reaching temp when running on boiler

Ignore the hot water temp dial on the boiler, it doesn’t do anything. It's a generic facia. Cylinder temp should be set at 60°c. 65° max.

    Underfloor Over Temperature

I think some of those Inta blending valves only have a small range. Eg 20-25°C. It may not go as low as needed.

How can I tell if my external boiler is wired properly for frost stat operation??

Quite agree with you Exedon. That's how we always do it. Grant say frost stat alone it the basic minimum to get some temp into the casing and would suffice for warranty purposes.

How can I tell if my external boiler is wired properly for frost stat operation??

In fairness, grant don't specifically ask for the pipe stat and feed back to valve, although it's best practice and the wiring diagram shows the connections. They want at the very minimum, the permanent live to allow the frost stat to fire the boiler. The pipe stat/valve connection is more for...

Incorrectly installed Valliant Eco Tec boiler- advice on what to do next?

It all looks rather tight in there and at the time you were probably grateful to get the heating back on. I've known customers who would pay the extra to move the boiler if it wouldn't fit to MI's spec and I've know customers who would say b****r it, fit it there, I'll accept responsibility...

Hit a water pipe affixing a toilet to first floor floorboards - is the pipework normal?

Fair point, but you'd expect it would have been piped by a tradesman to suit the layout.

Hit a water pipe affixing a toilet to first floor floorboards - is the pipework normal?

You never know what you'll find under a bathroom floor. Bathrooms get moved around and remodelled and it's a nice project for a competent DIY'er. All of which create ??? So unless it's a new house, you just never know.

First things first, make sure the loops are properly filled and free of air. That's UFH 101.
