Placing old slabs under new concrete slab

Just a thought... Will the poured concrete dry in different times on the DPM compared to the broken slabs? If so, will this effect the new concrete structure?; possibly cause hairline cracks where the two different foundations are absorbing the water differently from the new concrete?

    Big F'in Tough Weedkiller

So far the best is 3:1 water to salt ratio. You want to damage the weeds, but keep it away from vegetation. Way better than the chemicals we find on the shelves these days, for more reasons than one :)

    Is this paint or snowcem?

Struggling to find a solution..... But came up with this on the web. "...No authoritative bodies recommend abrasive techniques on old London bricks - both sand blasting and chipping damage or remove the hard outside layer of the brick, leaving exposed the soft, extremely porous middle. This...

Miele W449 wash cycle taking longer than normal

I'm gonna struggle to help with the seal fitting. Does your washing machine heat it's own water? I'm thinking you should look into the water heater too, if it's working at it's best, or it's taking too long to heat the water.

Miele W449 wash cycle taking longer than normal

Just a thought. Is the door / drum seal fitting correctly? Sounds like it's restricting the drum, causing teh motor to temporarily heat up, and stopping to cool down before it starts again when the motor has cooled down to an operating temperature?

    Kitchen sealant

If you look at the spatula used I this video, you'll notice the different sizes of the beads. Like Joe says, thick and ugly are not exactly pleasing to the eye. It all comes down to how your 'pushing it in'; If the two surfaces are 'connected' then it's all good. The other way would be to...

    Painting above conservatory roof??

I'd suggest alu ladders, but before that, see if you can take off the grey plastic caps? You should see an I shaped bar that runs along the joints towards the wall. (Yoda voice)How strong they are, I'm not sure... but 8x4 is no where near as strong as ladders, but then ladders Ontop of 8x4 is...

Blown Bricks - air brick required?

For now? You could just use a pointing gun, and tidy up the pointing, and a week later wash off the efflorescence with brick acid. A generous coating of brick waterproofer will help protect the brick face too. If water has settled at the bottom part, then it's most likely just sitting inside...
