Can someone please clarify. The first and 2nd fix nailers (350/65) i have came with nicad batteries and chargers specifying that batt type. I see a lot of nimh batteries on the market but do you need a new charger for them?

Yeah as above i do remember seeing the battery being changed before as a plug in pack but anyway they came and fitted smart meters the same day so all good now. British Gas who i have as dual fuel

I got this message while adding credit on a prepaid meter. Is it something i could/should change (the battery) myself and will i lose the credit i was adding? Going by the beeps it had transferred before it gave out as i was holding the button to open the valve.

Given that these have all been installed vertically anyway how well is it going to be able to read room temp anyway? (manual said they should be installed horizontally so convection from pipes doesnt warm the valve sensor)

So.. mark 5 on that trv (siemens activatix rtn51) is supposed to correspond with an ambient temp of 28deg whereas its closer to 20 (i brought the stat in and left it right by the valve for a reading). Maybe a defective valve?

Its the valves. I had thought 5 would mean it being fully open regardless but clearly not. The pipes are hot on the flow side. Guess i'll have to put a normal valve in here or take it off to have the room hot enough.

trvs is thermostatoc valves? on all rads and fully open. Nothing else messed about with. Stat is in the hall.. i change it all the time to suit, but as above i'm not getting the heat it calls for. No prob with the stat or its connection to the boiler it's just that after an initial warmup it...

Right.. no need of that then as not had a landline for best part of a decade. And yes that is a speaker connection not 240v :D

On closer inspection its a phone socket rather than lan and seems to be surge protection as you say..

I've got a 10 way power adaptor that also has a lan socket on it. What would that be for? It's not a powerline kit, just a splitter.
