    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

Well, he came back this evening (unannounced) with another new sensor and replaced the other one (the one in the right of the picture). Upon switch on, the F.75 was replaced with a F.22 (low pressure) and the digital readout was now displaying sensible numbers. After recharging the system, it...

It wouldn't surprise me to find that the sensor that he replaced was not actually connected to anything. The wires did head off into the back of the front panel, but that doesn't mean that they were necessarily plugged into the board.

Strange..... Does the PCB only have one input for a pressure sensor?

Here is the so called modification kit: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAILLANT-ECOTEC-F75-KIT-0020023721-/280973158530 Looks like it does have a pressure sensor......

    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

I've read that Vaillant do sell modification kits to fix F75 problems - could it be that the kit includes a second sensor?

Which side is it that you are referring to? You've never seen the one on the left, or never seen the one on the right?

It's an Ecotech plus 618 (according to the service history which I happen to have with me here at work), not at home right now so can't take a picture of the label

You mention that you don't feel you should disclose what the repairs should be for a F.75 fault, as a DIYer should not be doing them, however in this thread: http://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/yet-another-vaillant-boiler-with-an-f-75-error.357112/ you went into a quite a bit of detail regarding...

    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

I did indeed take that photograph, but I did it whilst the plumber here. He took the cover off, and put it back on - I have not touched it. I call him a plumber, but he is a Gas Safe engineer - he installed a boiler for me in another property and did a good job. To be fair, I think you are...

    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

Rest assured I am not going to do anything myself! But, I am guessing that one of the three things is recharge the EXV? I suggested that to my plumber but he ruled it out... .. But could you at least offer your opinion on which of the two sensors in the photograph is the sensor that trips F.75...

    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

Thanks for your reply, and yes it does seem logical that the one nearest the pump would be the one used to detect a pressure change when the pump comes on. But, why would there be two? Also curious to know why you recommend disconnecting the one on the left? Won't the system complain if it is...

    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

Hi, Thanks for your reply - I had a plumber come round and he replaced what he thought was the pressure sensor, however he seemed to be confused because when he took the cover off the boiler he found two things that looked like a pressure sensor - one on the left in the picture below (just to...

    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

Actually, just been outside and there is a slow drip drip drip from the pressure relief pipe................ so, totally confused now. Does that now cast doubt on it being due to a faulty pressure sensor? And if the pressure sensor isn't faulty, why does it always say 2.1 bar?

    Vaillant Ecotech F.75

Hello, I've got the dreaded Ecotech F.75 error on the Vaillant boiler in the house which I only bought 3 weeks ago. As far as I can tell, there are no leaks anywhere, but each time I top up the system after a few hours the pressure has dropped again - there doesn't seem to be any coming out of...

Is it a Vented or Unvented cylinder?

Not sure there is a contract as such to be honest - the previous owner bought the PV panels outright, and as such as far we are concerned they just come with the house.

Is it a Vented or Unvented cylinder?

I'm worried about the hot water pressure being poor, mainly for showers. Where we are now we have a combi boiler and the shower is fed straight from it and I can honestly say it's the best shower I've personally used, whenever we go away anywhere one of the things we most enjoy about coming back...

Is it a Vented or Unvented cylinder?

Ah ok - thanks. Some more information that may or may not be relevant: the current owner has seemingly spent a lot on the house and has modernised it significantly. Last year for instance, he had the entirety of the south facing roof covered in PV panels. He has also had all the windows and...

Is it a Vented or Unvented cylinder?

Hello, Edit: The title should of course say unvented, not invented! I'm in the process of buying a house, and have just had the survey done and I'm trying to work out whether the hot water cylinder is vented or unvented - maybe it's not possible to say for certain with the information I've...
