    Al joking aside If your floor hasnt shown signs of damp, has readings under 75%RH Id chance not bothering with a dpm, therefore a moot point Get it tested, then see if you have to stress about a dpm

    Ardex are the 'only' company that guarantee their dpm over a floor with no existing dpm...

    unless your adept at using a liquid dpm & getting a smooth level screed i would leave it to a professional mate. Only thing i would be happy a customer doing themselves would be the initial coat of screed.. After that, if 'anything' goes wrong then its a finger pointing blame game. Everything...

    at 1947 theres no way at all that you have an existing dpm, they only came into effect after the 1960's Do NOT float a solid oak floor, it has to be fixed to the floor only Either glued ot nailed etc, but def not floating dpm dpm dpm, if in doubt dpm
