    Furthest radiators poor performance

Flushed rads, and reconnected. Balanced system. so far so good. 'll leave it a week and I'll flush the whole thing out. When I drain the system should I leave the header tank alone, so as to create a flush of clean water through the system or tie it up ?

    Furthest radiators poor performance

Hmm, You know, I had a look around my system and the Einsteins that installed it didnt put in a drain-tap or whatever its called. In other words to drain it, Id have to disconnect a rad and figure out a way of catching all that water. Do you think I could just use the chemical and not drain...

    Furthest radiators poor performance

Hi, Ive turned off all radiators except for the two that are last in line from the boiler and pump. They are extremely slow to heat. The 2nd-last rad has hot inlet pipe, cold outlet pipe. The rad is hot at the top and cold at the bottom The last rad has a hot inlet pipe and a cold outlet...

radiator leaking at inlet outlet valve

its the last of the old radiators in the house believe it or not :) I don't have the cash at the moment to be buying a new rad, so plugging the leak for the meantime is my preference. I'll probably replace it before Christmas .though

radiator leaking at inlet outlet valve

Hi Mo old radiator is leaking at both valves where the water comes in and out. Both valves are the screw type to either stop or allow the flow through the rad. They just have too much wear and tear. This rad is the furthest away from the boiler and its in a horrible position, and it old, so...

    Hotpoint WD440 drum gets stuck

Thanks for that Rocks1 Wont I have to remove the screws all the way around the hard plastic water proof casing to access the back? If you say no I'll be delighted. The thoughts of doing that is too much.

    Whrilpool AWO/D 4507 noisy/banging drum!

Mine is doing that. I think theres something stuck behind the drum. For the life of me I cant get it out. See if your drum has removable paddles. I could slide mine back and out.

Electrolux glass hob circuit board replace

Hi, My circuit board on my Electrolux hob has hit the dirt. Or so the 'engineer' with a phase tester has told me. He has also expertly told me that it would be as dear if not more so to replace that part. I dont really believe that and I was wondering has anyone ever replaced their own...

    Hotpoint WD440 drum gets stuck

Hi, I think there is something stuck behind the drum of my machine. It has thrown its belt. I can spin the drum a few times but it intermittently sticks. I can push it past the sticky point manually. I haven't heard steel-on-steel screeching so I dont think its the bearings. I definitely can...
