Fallen into the trap of ending up with a patchy ceiling

The heating is low in the house, both raiators are off the wall in this room, yet the second coat was drying in around 15-20 seconds, is this normal?

Fallen into the trap of ending up with a patchy ceiling

Does a roller pole help in any other way than be ab le to reach better (does it help to apply the paint more evenly?). Our ceilings aren't very high.

Are theses damp spots in my new plaster

Hi all, can someone tell me if these are damp spots or not. Plaster is two weeks old, rest of room dried out between 4 - 9 days and has none of these marks anywhere else. It is a brick wall (adjoining neighbour), no pipes I know of immediately above it. The spots haven't changed...

Fallen into the trap of ending up with a patchy ceiling

Hi all, From what i have looked up, I am not the only person who has ballsed up their nice newly plastered ceiling. I used Wickes matt emulsion water down to about 80/20 for the miscoat, which went on fantastically well (with one or two 'laps'?). I was planning on using a better paint...

Plastered on plasterboard moving away from wall

Thanks for the feedback. A bit more info before I attempt a repair: The photo below shows the entire length of wall. The right of the blue line is where the movement was first noticed - mostly within the yellow segment. Since the repair the movement is now (only slightly)...

Plastered on plasterboard moving away from wall

Hi all, Hope someone can advise. I have recently had my living room skimmed, but while the plasterer was 'troweling down'? one half of the wall he noticed a small amount of movement on the entire right side of the wall. He figured that the plasterboard had not been fixed to anything...

Is this switch fused, and what can I replace it with?

That's great, thanks, know what I need to order now. Finally though ( :D ), do you know what back box is required to take a 3+3 (I am assuming a double back box (same as for a double socket will fit all of these?)), and are different switch manufacturers interchangeable? Cheers...

Is this switch fused, and what can I replace it with?

Hi, thanks for the replies. The pond, shed and lanterns are protected by a 16A a 10A and a 6A on a MCB coming off the main fuse box protected by a 32A. The floodlights are on the main downstairs lights ring on a 6A. On the grid switch, the pond switch is 5A, the rest are 20A...
