I was talking about Plumb Centre.. Is that the same as Parts Centre? I have had a fully qualified plumber round, he figured it out and we're waiting on a part. I did say this already. I wanted to let you know that all was okay and there's nothing to worry about anymore, all being fixed next...

replacing honeywell motor in motorised valve

changed the motor but it didnt make any difference... so strange.. heat was dead yesterday AM so i checked everything i knew how; bled radiators, turned everything off and on again, played the thermostat temp, checked the pump (which was only replaced itself 3 months ago) and it had no air in...

replacing honeywell motor in motorised valve

so the motors are a pretty universal fit then? thats what i was going to try first as its the thing i should be able to do myself before having to call in the experts.. if it doesnt work and i need a whole new valve (or something else) then ive only lost £15... I'd really like to pick one...

megaflo water heater not heating very well!

you might have solved this for me! i went to the consumer unit and found something was 'off' - i turned it back on and the next mornig we had a lot more hot water than previously! I'm going to keep monitoring this for a while and see what happens but this could have been the answer all along...

megaflo water heater not heating very well!

the button doesnt seem to pop out either though so ive just guessed if it needs resetting and pressed it! i moved the lever to the right a bit in the hope it would help somehow... it doesnt seem to have any numbers on it to judge what temp its at (should it? i might have to get back in there...

megaflo water heater not heating very well!

i cant find a red button under the lower grey plastic cover... there is a blue arrow that can be moved left and right (im assuming to adjust the temp?) and a tiny hole with a blue button behind it that, according to the manual, can be pressed (with a pencil or something) to reset the cylinder...

megaflo water heater not heating very well!

under the two grey plastic covers there is also what the manual says is a themostat, it is a small blue plastic lever that moves left or right... and at the moment its sitting somewhere around the middle... shoud this be further to the right and would this give me more hot water or just the same...

megaflo water heater not heating very well!

it could well be electricaly heated but id be very surprised if it has packed up as it was only installed 6 months ago and is brand new and hardly been used until now... could there be a more simple explanation? could i have a switch o the wrong setting that is causing the cylinder not to heat...
