Fitting wireless relay to 2way loop at switch

I want to use the wireless dimmers so that they can be automated. Turn on when it gets dark, if it's dark and motion sensors are triggered etc or simulate occupancy when away. Dimming not even a requirement and I would have used a cheaper non dimming relay as an alternative if I could.

House alarm which can be integrated?

I have the texecom premier with the comip plugged into my router which I use for the Texecom ios app that calls out via Texecom's servers in event of alarm and sends emails and push notifications. It also allows control of the panel itself (keypad emulator) rather than just setting and...

Fitting wireless relay to 2way loop at switch

Hi, I have fitted a number of zwave light relays to various circuits in my house, as below. http://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes/apnt-52 The wiring has been tight adding these into the back boxes, despite having told my electrician when it was rewired 12 months ago that I...

    Sexy burglar alarm..?

Plus you then can either use the Texecom app for alarm control / deactivating as well or use one of the vera edge apps.

    Sexy burglar alarm..?

To throw a spanner in the works, you could go with texecom, and any of their keypads hidden by your panel. Hook it up to a vera edge via either serial adaptor or one of their Ethernet adaptors and use an android phone/tablet wall mounted as your main keypad. That will give you proximity...

    Stud wall joining brick wal

ree - no other damp issues or condensation issues in the house and the door was in the corner so the stripe is the left hand side as you look at it. The other side of that wall is fine. I just meant as lots of work done and not been lived in for long but guess over summer should have dryed out...

    Stud wall joining brick wal

Sadly it was me that blocked up the door at the wife's insistence to save some money before the builder started, but he never mentioned that it could cause a problem. Any chance that it is due to residual damp, and might eventually dry out, we have only been living in the house the last 2 months?

    Stud wall joining brick wal

Cheers. Interestingly though it doesn't occur the other side of that wall which was plastered by same person at same time and painted same colour. It also only goes up part of the join.

    Stud wall joining brick wal

A few weeks I think. It was plastered and painter 6 months ago and the painter has had several atempts at sanding and repainting, the last using oil based paint a month ago. The dark stripe was visible as soon as the paint dried.

    Stud wall joining brick wal

Our builder has just finished a refurbishment project and in one of the rooms an old door way in a brick wall was filled in with stud work, insulated and plasterboarded. The whole wall was then skimmed and painted. We now have a darker stripe in the paint where the join is. The decorator has...

    Empty house, cable install.

Not sure if you have wired everything already, but I did the same, wired WF100 back to central spot for the virgin install, and initally split it out to 2 rooms with the boxes in each room. However I now changed that to have both boxes at the central hub and send the hdmi signal over 2xcat6...

    Part setting on Texecom Elite

I am having some issues with my part sets on my texecom elite. I have 2 Areas, A is the house and B is an external sensor on the driveway. Both RKPs and all users are set to both Areas. Evening Arm should just do the external door sensors in A and the PIR in B so on Evening Arm I omit all...

Best professional wireless burglar alarm system?

They may not ask for proof when taking out the policy, but in the event of claim they may ask for details of who installed it and who was monitoring it, and can provide logs etc, and if they discover its all you, then they could refuse to pay out. You should clarify this in advance rather than...

The face plate is a grid one with yes, 3 x cat 6 and 1 x telephone point all run back to the main hub where the master socket is and I will wire the telephone cable into that. Yes, the idea was to plug the phone into there, but now it means the cable running across the floor which my wife...

What to expect from getting house wired with cat6

to be honest, you are the one that is talking **** on my thread, has hijacked it to attack someone else who was trying to offer some advice and all you have done is belittle him whilst claiming that you know it all, showing off that others know nothing and offered no advice at all or explained...

What to expect from getting house wired with cat6

Cheers all. So I found my punch down tool and repunched all the sockets on the wall plate that had 3 of the 4 sockets failing with the continuity tool and now all cores connect, and I have tested streaming 1080P HD down 2 of them. I think I am going to wire the patch panel myself and use...
