You have two choices GU10 mains or low voltage, the wattage used will initiate cost and GU10 make 1w led bulbs if you wanted to use, in my opinion i prefer low voltage for the following reasons, can use 2 core as no earthing required, can be dimmed and more choice of bulbs available.

If a 30A fuse is fitted for mains supply how can it be upgraded to 60a or 100a do edf need to carry this out?

Thank you to those who made a decent reply, i ran feed from socket feed by mistake, under pressure to meet deadline by customer, i ran a light feed to use a timer fan using light swtich, but i believe cannot do that as i would have to twist two neutral together as i cannot use just the live wire...

Coljack you are very harsh with your words, but i understand what you mean about if there was a current leak and the problem, i by mistake ran a spur feed from socket instead of light feed as customer was rushing for deadline, then realized i had a issue, i guess my only option is to install...

I am an electrician, supply would be fused from spur and isolator switch would be fitted, i just wanted to clarify if i twist the neutral from socket feed and light feed together if mcb or rcd would trip, as in uk the neutral is tied down to earth at transformer in most uk TN-S supply.
