Potterton Prima - luke warm hot water and tripping out

i think you'd need to aquire the services of an engineer. Your boilers obviously cutting out due to overheating and theres far too many possible causes but shouldnt take an engineer on site too long to diagnose. Could be a component failure i.e. pump or a blocked up heat exchanger etc but...

    vokera compact he boiler problems

water seals big enough on a vokera compact to say it wont run empty (75mm min) therefore a co alarm for disconnecting the condensate pipes not really required and shouldnt scare you to do so Ray

    Vokera compact 24

like the last poster i agree, its very easy to bump the safety valve and once it starts passing may need replaced. id like to hear what someone else says but a few times ive had sucess by taking the black lever off, removing the red head from the prv and using a plain screwdriver to screw the...

    Biasi M90E 28 S - no hot water

Have a check here: http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=258437 Your biasi and the ideal mini are the same in operation, just a few diffrent bits and bobs on them but either: dhw flow switch not operating pump flow switch not operating on hw or a faulty diverter valve actuator...

Ideal Mini C28 hot water mystery problem

yeah sorry jumped in and decribed what you already know. primary flow switch/pump proving switch. Cheap enough repair if you get the right person the diaphragm is about £5 and likely to be that or choked up (99% doubt its the pump but is related to it) Ray

Ideal Mini C28 hot water mystery problem

Richard as tony says its a faulty flow switch. I think on the mini when the hot water taps opened a small red led inside the boiler should light then the flow switch is operating properly no right led - faulty flow switch (maybe choked or has a small hole developed on the diaphgram Ray

Potterton Suprima only refires when cooled - not a lockout

thermistor or pcb not much else left on them to go wrong. id suspect the pcb but maybe the engineers looking at it from the view he doesnt want to look stupid charging so much changing a board for a recall next week but more than likely that i usually change the thermistor first and it makes no...

Biasi M96.28 Combi - keeps cutting out

your boilers got a flow switch so that when the pumps running the flow switch makes a contact proving the pumps running. flow switch is made from thin rubber which can deteriorate causing a small hole which means sometimes it will make the switch sometimes not and youll get these problems Ray

    vokera lineamax floor standing combi

i think youd need to get someone confident on the lineas for a second opinion as theres not much else to look at. How do u know the minimums been set on the gas valve? do you know what the figure is? the fact that the heat comes through ok to start proves its not a diverter valve/hw flow...

    Replacing pump

I agree with Axel Jo, If you intend to change the valve if you put a screw driver near the isolation points you have justnow it would leak without you touching it, they r absolutly terrible. If your concerned about water flow go for the 15/60 grundfos over the 15/50 exact same striaght foward...

    myson /torn boiler.

only obvious stupid thing to check is that youve not got switch at high on the boiler instead of the low thermostat position, does switching these about make it last any less/longer? if it lasts longer could be the main heat exchangers sludged up or the pumps not working too well or could be...

Jim your very very lucky with that then, I had onc before christmas with a choked drain so cut it ouside to run away but they'd reset it that much it filtup and rain through the fan which is conneceted to the gas valve. both needed replaced + the burner stripped down cause their co levels were...

    Vokera Option Boiler Problem

where abouts in Lanarkshire are you? complete stab in the dark here but id guess.... your boilers got an expansion vessel to the rear, its a big grey cylinder youl see if you look down the back of the boiler at the top. It could be that the vessels flat or burst as it needs to hold a charge of...
