    What PIRs are these

If its a relatively small system and the person operating the system understands fully what the text descriptions means (even those which are abbreviated), then numbering is not required in my view On larger systems where the above is not always the case and the attending engineer might never...

    What PIRs are these

I thought the 5th one (RH) was made by Peak not Scantronic, I've fitted a fair few and my memory of the maker is fading, one thing I do remember, is they used to tick like a loud clock when they detected lol

engineers manual for Europlex 3gs and Aplex ( onboard kp)

Panelman software is the way to go, it's very 'mandrolic' to do go through it by hand and as for assigning text, it takes an age unless your really good at texting lol. Its a great panel but does have its 'quirks' I have the manuals for the 3GS, the latest can be got off the manufactures...

Best/Easyest way to route CCTV cable in?

You could mount the camera on the lid of an IP rated enclosure, knotch the lid at the and make the connection within the box. You will need to drill a hole either big enough for the power and the data cable with pre made plug, or crimp your own plug on after it has passed through the wall...

    Alarm repair help

Not sure Alarm, only used the Karizma & Ultimate panel using iD, not fitted Castle or iD+. Castles web site said that the iD & iD+ devices can be mixed on the same line: http://www.castle-caretech.com/pdfs/id_plus.html Might be worth the OP taking a punt.

    Alarm repair help

The chips (or biscuits) are fairly robust, the panel will be showing fault due to the missing addressed chip, it might need nothing more than connecting the one removed back on the data detection line (Blue/Yellow convention) The chips are numbered for addresing purposes, to save a small...

    little expert help

HI External sounders (SAB or SCB) will work will all alarm panels, so your choice is not a problem, the sounder will need a minimum of 4 conductors, if it has a strobe, it will need 5 to make it flash independantly of the sounder.

    Wiring Zones Together

Hi I take it your problem is related to the resistor wiring and thats why you can only get two switches to work ok. Depending on the panel, some will accept a resistor in series with the contact on more than two contacts, others won't (excluding the end of line resistor). Their is a...

Concept Alarm not charging back up battery and general?'s

Hi, The resistor forms part of the battery charging circuit which is shot, I would recommend a new panel to be honest, even if you repair the resistor, the issue with the internal speaker might still exist and the cost of a new panel will save time and money in the long run. The additional...
