better the devil you know !!! im not a labour voter but i admire blair , been reading his biography recently.... i dont agree with everything the govenment has done , but they have done some good things ..example , nhs direct( if you have baby or young child this is superb ) blair seems ok to me...

Gay marragies are just another way of lowering standards in our society , how can homosexuality be illegal 30 years ago and now they are more or less compulsary in certain parts of society ..( actors , mp s , etc ) to me though if ya watch little britain with.. the only gay in the village.. they...

if its a butt hinge on a door then i would lever the hinge off the frame , its a common problem i face when snagging ( someones got to do it :roll: ) , use a flat screwdriver ( or similar) but be careful not to damage the frame ...crude but effective and it will save ya the cost of a removal bit :D

hi , if the mortar is dry, which i suspect it is , then the door and frame can be fitted :)

sorry to disagree but , fit the doors first , the joiner should leave 5/8 or 3/4 inch to allow for the carpet ( or work to the old carpet) that is the proceedure in a new build house :D

whenever im rusty on a subject on carpentry or joinery or am unsure on a technique i go back and look at my old college books .... what i suggest to you is to buy a trade learning book that they use to teach apprentices ...or a building book that i learned from when doing my btec qualification...

sounds like you need to use formica , you might be able to buy smaller sizes but ive always bought them in 2400 by 1200 mm , expensive as well :shock:

are the thresholds external or are they internal between rooms ( as in older style houses) if external , use hardwood , if internal use mdf ( or real timber) mdf is actually hardwearing and will take knocks better than timber,( high heels for example) :lol:
