    Expansion vessel means sealed and the tank in your loft probably feeds your hot water cylinder, dont tip it in there!! Easy enough diy job still if your confident on draining and filling your system back up??

    Get yourself a nice wireless stat (below) and put it in the hall as this is likely to have the most air changes its the most suitable place You might have to have a trial and error with the temperature to suit everyone but thats pretty normal...

    Normally takes me at least a week what with so much work on and trying to catch up and paperwork at home is difficult but if it was going to be longer id always say. Id struggle to get most out in 1-2 days personally but id say a week is reasonable

    Not a massive difference in price between 1 bar and 2 bar pumps, more of a difference in quality though Depends on your budget, id fit a stuart turner first and then maybe a grundfos which seems a decent mid priced pump You can get then for £100 from Screwfix etc, dunno how long they...

    Incase it did have a trv or was turned off at any point which is not impossible I wouldnt do it that way, would always fit an auto bypass its not worth the risk and pretty sure most boiler manufacturers would insist on it
