If you are referring to the disconnection of a gas cooker by unplugging a bayonet fitting from a self sealing connector and reconnecting then that is permitted under the regulations.( GSIUR Regulation 2) If you mean disconnecting from fixed pipework then yes that is not permitted. You...

Not likely to be the expansion vessel if problem persists even when boiler switched off. Disconnect filling loop from system.(it should not be left connected anyway) If you still have over pressure problem then suspect the plate heat exchanger.

A free standing cooker may be fitted with a flexible hose OR ridged pipe work, (unless the manufacturers instructions say otherwise). :wink: :wink:
