Yes i am 100% sure its not the tank stat. There is feed through the tank stat,through the actuator micro switch to the electronic controller.The electronic controller tells the boiler to go which it does.....it is the boiler itself that is shutting down. The only thing that I can see that...

Just to add to this query. The hot water appears to be hotter than usual. Hope this is of help in solving my problem.

I have the above boiler with 2 sunvic 2 port valves - SM5203. CH run on its own operates fine. HW run on its own works fine for 15 mins ish then boiler starts cutting out and restarting every 15 - 20 seconds - ish. Have checked the valves and tank stat. These are not turning the boiler...

Thank you so much for your help. the plaster underneath has been applied very thinly - almost a scim - and leaves a residue on your hands when you rub it. I have heard about oil based undercoat being helpful. Maybe i shall try that on the exposed areas as well as PVA!! Regards

We have managed to get it going again....for the past 10 minutes. .........all quiet at the moment ..rads are warming up nicely...... It was set at "low" I dont think that it was overheating because the boiler had been off for 3 hrs and only on for a ten minutes or so before the noise...

We turned the boiler off at the mains and restarted it. Relit the pilot light and it fired up! All was well working fine. After 10 minutes the noise started again. Loud clunking from boiler itself.....or maybe the flue?

Thanks for that Sorry to confuse you so much. Pump IS working. ( OH forgot to switch heating timer back on!) Despite the pump working the boiler is not firing up even though it is now cold. Pilot is on. OH has checked for any air in sysyem and none apparent. Any ideas?

Having just checked, the pump does not appear to be working. Would that result in the boiler not firing up?
