I used hardcore, sand, DPM, insulation, concrete in my garage.

I sat with my son while he stripped and lubed his keyboard buttons and made endless lube jokes.
He kept putting the lubed ones to his ear to test they were done right. I’m sure he is the milk mans :cautious::LOL:
I would put a 4D360 on it. You will have to remove the hopper and might need to lower the 4” a bit to get the lid on with a socket under it.
You could also just cap it off with a socket and cap end.

I put the smoke bombs on a metal tray sat in the manhole channel.
You might not see the smoke but you will smell it so it’s best if one person sets off the bomb and puts the lid back on the manhole, then someone else stays inside to check for the smoke/smell.

The last lot was down a couple of years before we moved, it was on maybe 30-40mm of sharp sand that was on soil. Grano is more like mini MOT so would be better.
I nailed it to a timber surround and I chose timber because it’s easy and cheap.
