Filler/sealant to use between wooden shelf and wall

Guys what's with this Crown solo stuff that's so good I've herd over decoraters on about it? I thought its some DIY stuff from b&q (no good ) is it oil? If so is it not yellowing? Thought you painters and DIY people may want to hear this as im on about yellowing paints. As I've mentioned...

Why is there no definitive answer to the question.....

You will never get a define answer. Doesn't matter witch way you line just whatever is easy'r for you! When papering its best to go horizontal but not essential as you can off- set your finish paper so the joint of the lining isn't clashing withthe joint of the finish paper. Regards to...

Painting over plaster which has been painted then papered

I never strip and paint because even though you can wash walls down and prime with supa dupa primer/sealers you will always have paste in the walls! So for a solid lasting finish you will have to line im afraid.

    Which primer?

The Dulux trade and other Dulux is absolutely garbage! If you want a real solid finish go with Johnstone's stormshield undercoat/primer gloss! Ive been using it for 3years and its the best in my opinion! Dulux is one of the worst paints these days I've found. If you want to stick with the Dulux...

    Cracked ceiling emulsion paint

The best way to get rid of cracks is to - 1) Dig out crack and dust/prime 2) Tape the crack with 'toupret ultra slim skrim tape 3) use a 4" filling tool or bigger. Mix filler to a creamy mixture and apply 1 coat about twice the width of the tape. Let dry and sand lightly till all smooth and...

Joe - this has nothing to do with techniques, the product helps with coverage and a wet edge witch is definitely needed with these WB paints! No one has been using them long enough to be an expert with them! On a separate note anyone been using blue lid Dulux ... Apparently they have solved...

Cracks along joins of painted lining paper

Crafty, I've never had this problem with Dulux its normally fantastic. What I do is roll the joints with a mini roller with OB undercoat no prep what's so ever! If you need fast drying go with one of the zinsser products.
