Stinky toilet - this is serious!!!

Thanks BingoBongo! Now you come to mention it the waste pipe on the shower is currently gunged-up with hair - i've been meaning to get in there with the Mr Muscle plug hole unblocker! So if I unblock the shower and the smell goes then this is the problem yeah? And these anti-syphon traps...

Stinky toilet - this is serious!!!

I live in a new-build home and we're having real problems with the en-suite toilet, which just STINKS! I know what you're probably thinking - but it's honestly spotlessly clean. I just can't figure out why it smells so bad. Its probably most noticeable in the morning when I get up and take a...

worcester 24i boiler how to relite?

The 24i doesn't have a pilot light, but uses electric ignition, so if your boiler isn't firing there can only be a couple of causes... The first thing to work out is whether or not the necessary spark is occuring. To do this, whip the front off and fire up the boiler while keeping a close look...

    Worcester 24i losing pressure

My Worcester 24i combi boiler keeps steadily losing pressure, and I am b*ggered if I know why!! As far as I am aware, the only possible cause for pressure loss is a leak somehwere in the system. Yet I have not been able to find any damp patches anywhere. Don't get me wrong, the pressure...

Worcester 24i - No CH or HW - not firing

Further to my previous post - it is playing up again! But now I can tell that the air pressure switch is definately to blame. The boiler is behaving erratically, and I can actually hear the air pressure swicth clicking on and off. I guess that just checking the tubes is not enough! But I had...

Worcester 24i - No CH or HW - not firing

Thanks very much! I jad pretty much decided to go and buy a new PCB, so this has saved me time and money! I have removed, cleaned and re-fitted tubes connected to the air-pressure switch and this has done the trick. Boiler working like a dream!! Thanks COG!

Worcester 24i - No CH or HW - not firing

Hello! I have a Worcester 24i. It is not firing. With the front panel off I have tried firing it up, but cannot see any spark from the "sparkie bits" (technical term!). Pressure is stable (just under 1 bar). Boiler makes a couple of clicking sounds when I power it on/turn on the hot tap...
