What wood for an outside door?

I don't know, what about it? Stabilise it, re-paint it and hide it with a weather bar?

What wood for an outside door?

From what I can see of it, that door looks in good nick, just needs re-painting.

    ID brushless motor controller

I think you might be on a hiding to nothing with this one. Nothing on Google or Baidu, Deepseek tells me that JN-4838 isn't really a part number and more of a description: 48V, 38A.

    ID brushless motor controller

Look through listings on Aliexpress for similar controllers, it may be possible to work out with the documentation of a similar product [and a multimeter?].

    Bookcase Pegs

Some possibilities: - it's fitted the wrong way around, flipping it over would leave a gap for some potential fixing to sit in without making holes in the timber - it's a completely different thing and someone has used it as a bookcase strip because it looks like a bookcase strip

What is this kind of walking line?

    Is this a quiz?

    Cooling the home, methods?

I have an enormous beech just to the SSE of the house, that shades us from a good few hours of sun in the late morning. Difficult to quantify as I can't take it down one day and then put it up again for comparison. But no way I would cut it down in a warming climate. Curtains shut wherever...

    Stairgate needs strength...

Dowel centres are perfect for lining up where you want to make holes that line up exactly in opposite faces. Drill out a round hole and then square it out with a chisel.

    Bosch Shredder - Defective Switch

Have you got a picture of the actual switch? Have you tested the switch with a multimeter? I was going to say "It's unlikely they made a bespoke switch just for this" but this is Bosch and Bosch make lots of things, so wouldn't want to rule that one out!

Composite slats - do they exist?

Yeah, don't expect composite product to be particularly lightweight. It's not full of little air holes like dry timber is.

    Dunster House log cabin pre-treatment?

Don't leave timbers in contact with soil, regardless of any claims about treatment. It needs to just overlap any solid base to stop rainwater splashing up it, to prolong the life of the lower timbers. Consider guttering to take rainwater away, again to keep splashing under control.

    Devices to meter kWh

https://docs.openenergymonitor.org/electricity-monitoring/ac-power-theory/introduction.html "Determining the direction of power flow".

    Devices to meter kWh

If that were true then it would have been pretty misleading of me not to mention that I have different clamps on my "import" and "export" cables [whatever those are], wouldn't it? For the avoidance of doubt, I have a [one] clamp around the L after the meter and that's what the graph is showing...

    Devices to meter kWh

It definitely can and fortunately it works without me being able to understand or explain it :) The one it replaced could not so could not distinguish import/export.

    Devices to meter kWh

Reality is otherwise. I wouldn't have suggested Shelly EM if it couldn't distinguish which direction. I don't think ultimate accuracy is the goal here, simply sense-checking what the inverter is saying.

    Devices to meter kWh

I would be astounded if the inverter's CT clamp was not "directional". The inverter knows how much it's outputting, it knows what is passing through the CT clamp, the difference has to be consumption.

    Devices to meter kWh

250-300W [EDIT or is 650W?] seems like quite a lot of idle usage to me. Hopefully the manufacturer publishes some figures.

    DIY radiator fan?

Shame that doesn't include moving on from making condescending posts on forums.

    Devices to meter kWh

Shelley EM will do it. Pretty cheap. Yes, put a CT clamp on (3) to measure your consumption. You can probably derive this figure from your inverter as it already knows (1) and (2).

Dying wood, dyes, formulas, methods etc.

As anyone who has prepared beetroot on a wooden chopping board can tell you. Fades away surprisingly quickly.
